LA CÁMARA DE COMERCIO, UNA ENTIDAD COMPROMETIDA CON EL FUTURO DE VIEDMA

El 2 de abril de 1949, pocos días antes de que Viedma conmemorara su 170º aniversario, nacía una entidad que desde ese momento iba a comprometerse profundamente con el desarrollo y, por lo tanto, con el futuro de nuestra ciudad: la Cámara de Comercio, Turismo, Industria y Producción.

Un entusiasta grupo de vecinos, comerciantes y empresarios decidió la fundación de la institución con un doble propósito: trabajar en defensa de los intereses de los activos sectores a los que representa y apoyar el desarrollo de Viedma, así como de la región y la provincia.

En cumplimiento de aquel mandato original, la Cámara de Comercio fue concretando en el tiempo diversas actividades y proyectos, algunos de gran amplitud, como la construcción del edificio BA53, en calle Buenos Aires 53, sede actual de la entidad, al que se está sumando el edificio “Tucumán”, que como el anterior se levanta por el sistema de fideicomiso, del que la Cámara es organizadora.

Por otra parte, con la intención de potenciar la actividad comercial y darle nueva imagen a Viedma, inclusive turísticamente, apoyó la obra de refuncionalidad de la calle Buenos Aires, para convertirla en un moderno centro comercial a cielo abierto, con la idea de replicar el proyecto en otros lugares de la ciudad. Para ello contó con el asesoramiento de la Confederación Argentina de la Mediana Empresa (CAME), de la que
es afiliada.

Además, con un fin social, para disfrute de las familias de sus asociados, la entidad decidió la compra financiada de un amplio terreno a la vera de la ruta provincial 1, camino al balneario El Cóndor.

Asimismo, convencidos de la necesidad de darles un lugar a los jóvenes, en 2011 creó J.E.Co.Vi. (Jóvenes Emprendedores y Comerciantes de Viedma), de activa participación local, regional y provincial.

En abril del año pasado, además, la Cámara de Comercio organizó con gran éxito junto a Fundamérica (Fundación Americana para la Promoción del Desarrollo Sustentable y el Turismo), la primera edición de la Expo Total Río Negro, que se repetirá éste año. Se trata de una muestra destinada a mostrar el desenvolvimiento de la industria, la producción, el turismo y el comercio, local, regional y provincial, tanto del
ámbito privado como público.

“Las instituciones representan a la sociedad, en la medida que tengamos buenas instituciones, fuertes, con compromiso y con trabajo, vamos a tener una sociedad mejor. Y ese fue el objetivo de nuestra institución desde sus inicios”, expresó Agustín Moggio, presidente de la institución.

Beneficios a sus asociados
En el constante compromiso de brindar a sus socios herramientas que le permitan optimizar sus recursos, reducir sus costos e incrementar sus ventas, la institución ha promovido acciones que se traducen en
beneficios y soluciones a sus problemas.

A tal fin, y entre otras acciones, organiza capacitaciones, cursos, charlas, brinda asesoramiento, inclusive contable y legal, y ha celebrado convenios con otras entidades, prestadoras de distintos servicios, como los de cobertura médica con ACA Salud, o crediticias.

También ha gestionado y obtenido la participación de sus afiliados en diversos planes, que movilizan las ventas y benefician asimismo a los consumidores.

Además, los socios de la Cámara tienen bonificaciones en las compras que realicen en varios comercios locales adheridos a ese beneficio.

Por todo ello, la entidad destaca la importancia de asociarse a la misma, haciendo llegar a todos los interesados la invitación para que se acerquen a ella, inclusive asistiendo a sus reuniones de Comisión
Directiva, haciendo conocer sus inquietudes e ideas.
